DescriptionThis head is from a statue of a male votary with Cypriot-style shorts. The beardless male figure wears a wide diadem low over the forehead, decorated with three rosettes in relief, each with eight petals and central grooves to indicate veins. The left ear is heart-shaped, the central area not removed. Two small hoop earrings hug the earlobe. A mass of smooth, rounded hair, hangs behind the left ear to the nape.
