DescriptionOn the exterior at left, a male figure leaning on his staff. A draped woman moves to right, turning back to look at him. A bit of her hair emerges before her sakkos. She wears a chiton and is wrapped in a himation, which is bunched around her shoulders and hangs in loose folds. The location of her hands is evident beneath the drapery. A relief line defines the eye, chin, neck, and lower drapery folds. In the field at left a narrow object hangs by a strap: a sack or a sprinkler with its stopper beside it. A dilute glaze defines the sternomastoid muscle, central drapery folds, and veins of the leaf. To right, the palmette and tendril ornament are under one hand.On View
