DescriptionThis small, beardless male head wears a laurel wreath with a double row of long, droplet-shaped leaves. Above the forehead comma-shaped locks curve toward the center. The head is rounded in back; on the crown S-shaped grooves radiate from a central point. The ears are naturalistically carved, the right larger than the left. The square face exhibits small eyes with thick lids set deep into the sockets. The bridge of the short nose projects, accentuating the depth of the sockets. The short, asymmetrical mouth has full, natural lips, the lower shorter than the bow-shaped upper. The short, wide chin is full, enhancing the cubic proportions
