DescriptionThis beardless male dignitary wears a wreath of laurel leaves, beneath which two zig-zag rows of hair frame the face. Hair on the crown is rendered by deep, wide grooves radiating from a central point. Most of the hair in back is an undifferentiated mass. The youth’s face has regular features with arched brow ridges setting off narrow, almond-shaped eyes. The thin eyelids are carved, and the rounded lips form a smile. The full chin enhances the rounded rectangular face.
