DescriptionThis beardless male head wears a simple wreath of thick, droplet-shaped laurel leaves attached to a fillet. Short, somewhat thick hair is combed forward about the face; the hairline is emphasized by an incised line. The head comes to a rounded point at the back of the flattened head, where short locks are worked laterally around the head to the fillet. The ears have thick helices, and the concha is slightly hollowed. The full, square face is slightly lopsided, the right features higher than the left. The round eyes are deeply set, the lids uncarved. The short nose turns slightly upward at the tip. The thin-lipped mouth is wide, without expression. Like the cheeks, the chin is full and softly modeled.
