DescriptionFrontal torso with aegis of Athena from the interior of a kylix, missing head, right arm, and lower body. The aegis lacks a gorgon head, but has long snakes attached to the edges.
Athena’s left arm extends across her body, her spear resting against her left shoulder and open hand. Her fingers, arm, and body are slender. Her right arm was probably extended
to left. She also wears a mantle, the material stacked above the elbow. Thin, uneven vertical lines indicate drapery folds; one zig-zag fold with a broad band hangs beneath the
waist. Thin relief lines outline the body and render interior details.
