DescriptionSolid terra-cotta head of a lion. On top of the head three incised lines depict skin folds, behind which are two lug-shaped ears. Large triangular eyes, with punched-in pupils, protrude from the face. The nose is rounded and triangular, its nostrils rendered with punched holes. The figure grimaces, baring six pairs of teeth and incisors. The chin is small and rounded. Two incisions at right reflect the head’s turn to right.
