DescriptionThe draped head, shoulders, and upper chest of a beardless figure are preserved. The figure’s hair is not parted; the features are pointed. The figure has a large nose, slight smile, and pronounced chin. The smooth rendering of the head extends to the sloping shoulders, the right arm is held out from the body. The handmade back is slightly concave and featureless. The style recalls reclining banqueters from Taranto.
