DescriptionA bronze lion-footed leg designed as one of three leg supports for a cauldron. The lion’s foot has four toes that curve away from the center. Thin incisions on the foot represent hair; modeling of the knuckles, foot bones, and ligaments is detailed. An acanthus leaf is tied onto the lower leg by a double rope, which is only shown in front. The leaves create a rippling effect that contrasts with the smoothed leg above.
