DescriptionFrom appraisal of this dish and another of the pair: Each of shallow flaring form, the sides with twelve lobes designating the petals of a flower, the rim notched and the exterior incised with lines radiating up from the foot, under a pale ‘shadow blue’ glaze, the flat, slightly countersunk base unglazed and showing the porcelain body burnt orange in the firing, one with minute rim nibbles
