DescriptionThe deep body with rounded sides rising to a straight rim, under an even black glaze applied over a thinner caramel colored glaze layer and thickening in an irregular line where it ends quite high on the exterior above the slightly spreading foot and recessed base to show the unglazed buff stoneware body, the interior decorated in russet with five evenly spaced abstracted flower head-form splashes, the mouth rim dressed in iron-oxide, indistinct inscription in black above the foot, minute kiln grit in interior center.
