DescriptionAryballos of regular, spherical shape with small neck and rim; single strap handle extends from lip to shoulder. Much glaze is missing, suggesting problems with firing or problems with burial conditions. Radiating tongue pattern on top of rim (traces), upper shoulder, and bottom are all black. In a wide frieze set off by single bands, three (or four?) birds move to right. Detectable only from incision on the wings and feathers, they include one bird under the handle, and two birds across from it. Possible traces of incised eyes remain and two to three red dots in the field. Circular label with “Museo archeologico Firenze
