DescriptionSack-shaped beakers or carinated cups were likely used as pots for cosmetics and as drinking vessels. Many were manufactured in Cyprus in the first century CE, where they are found in abundance. They also occur in Syria, Greece (Siphnos), northern Italy, and Gaul during this period.
