DescriptionSmall gourd-shaped jug. Decoration obscured by whitish encrustation, chipping. Some pitting (spalls) from small stone deposits. Handmade; buff-colored clay, with uneven reddish bands painted over a matte black glaze.
Jug with elongated, oval-shaped belly and short, flaring neck.
The concave bottom has no foot, and so it cannot stand on its own. Small handle attached to neck and shoulder. Nine horizontal red bands extend from lip to lower end of
handle; below are three horizontal and three vertical bands. Narrower horizontal bands adorn the handle and the area beneath it.
