DescriptionHead of a woman from a votive bust or statuette. She wears a ribbon or stephane, a mantle or veil, preserved at left, and round earrings; her full, wavy hair is pulled back from a classical center part. Delicate features are set into a rounded face, with prominent nose and a closed mouth, which lacks emotion. The back reveals the process of layering and smoothing the clay into the mold.
