Descriptiona rare and unusual headdress was made from a technique used during the Ottoman Empire during the 18th and 19th centuries. There is silk embroidery done over the entire surface in patterns of large calligraphy, dominated by the name, "Allah". Embroidery is prominently outlined with fine black silk thread. A pale pink silk is under the embroidery with a cotton lining for the base.On View
