Descriptionengraved calligraphic candlestick base. Of tapering cylindrical form, the central decorative panel engraved with large elegant thuluth script with elongated verticals set on a ground of scrolling vine bounded above and below by raised bands with chevron motifs, the lower section with a band of interspersed roundels containing lock and key patterns set on a ground of scrolling floral vine, below this a band of strapwork, the rim with vine issuing half-palmettes
