DescriptionThe Resurrection: Surrounded by bright light, Christ ascends diagonally toward heaven at the upper left of the composition. A winged angel perches on a rock to Christ’s right while a groups of soldiers below look above in amazement. The soldier with his back turned in the immediate foreground appears unaware or asleep.
