DescriptionNearly complete; broken during excavation, reconstructed from many pieces; missing some chips. Diorite, fine-grained, with gray and black streaks. Squat, shouldered bowl with flat bottom, strongly convex sides, flat top, and narrow opening, about one-half the diameter of the bowl, no rim and no handles. Various notations occur, which may be related to the place of finding and the excavator: on the underside in ink: 11.758; N.V.G. (in Greek letters) and Art Sph. 24 (Greek letters); on interior, III 12 is written in pencil on several fragments.On View
