DescriptionOn the interior framed by a leftward maeander, a bearded man wearing a himation and a wreath reclines on a couch with striped cushions. Added red paint is applied to thewreath. A basket decorated with red tassels hangs from the wall opposite him. The scene depicts an event from a Greek symposium, a male drinking party. The man holds a
cup similar to the one on which it is depicted and prepares to flick the last drops of wine from his cup to a target in a game called kottabos.
