DescriptionLow relief scene comprises four figures and a horse. At left, a bearded older man stands in profile to right, extending his right hand in a handshake, holding a curved object. He wears a himation (mantle) draped around his left shoulder, leaving his right shoulder and chest bare. Drapery folds hang on each side of the figure; with a short triangular overfold at waist. To right stands a young boy, his head reaching the man’s waist. The child leans against a woman, his right arm on his left shoulder, and looks up at the man. The woman, in profile to left, faces the old man whose hand she holds with her right. She wears a fillet in her hair, and a himation and a chiton (a long, sleeved garment) with soft folds; her left hand is pressed against her chest. To right stands a horse with cropped mane. The horse’s mouth is open, revealing a bridle. A younger, bearded man stands on the near side of the horse. His body is frontal, his head is in profile to left. He wears a petasos (a wide-brimmed traveler’s hat), a knee-length chiton belted at the waist, a chlamys (a traveler’s cloak) fastened at his left shoulder, and a diagonal baldric. His right leg bears his weight and he holds the reins in his right hand. There is no trace of an inscription.
