DescriptionIn a small opening in the woods a young woman dressed in white and wearing a plumed hat reaches back toward the right to protect a young man in blue coat and pink breeches who stands holding a rifle (?) in his right hand while he holds his hat on with the left. The woman looks menacingly at two men on the left who hold rifles or staffs, one of whom shakes his fist at her. Before him the other, clad in brown jacket and blue breeches, turns his back to the spectator.
