DescriptionBronze figurine of a woman holding a baby with both arms (not suckling). Despite the worn surface, the mother appears to wear an abstract coiffure or a hat, forming a vertical extension on top. A pinched nose dominates her simplified face; the eyes, shown as small stamped circles, peer from the sides of the head. The body is flat, the upper torso undecorated; the long, narrow skirt is embellished with ten large, round impressions. Her feet taper into a horseshoe shape. The baby, held diagonally across her torso, is a long, smooth cylinder, the child’s curving, tapered feet the only detail. The flat back is undecorated.
