DescriptionPlate with an interior chamber, intended to be filled with hot water to keep food warm while served; openings at opposite sides for filling and ventilating chamber. Decorated on rim with European ornamentation based on ancient Greek or Roman motifs: swags of vegetation alternate with octagonal medallions depicting covered vessels. Central medallion with "sea horse" and trident.
