DescriptionLumia = light box with moving elements. Light sculpture: mechanically manipulated light sources in enclosed box with plexi screen.Wooden box with front of frosted Plexiglas, containing a light and an electric motor that drives multiple interior elements, probably of Plexiglas or a similar material. [Attached catalogue description of a similar 1968 piece lists lenses and prisms as elements]. When the light and motor are activated, refraction and reflection create a series of moving patterns on the Plexiglas front panel.
