DescriptionOne of a set of 10 etchings, complete as issued with a title page and in the original portfolio (worn), full sheets. Unwashed, original condition. Printed in black ink on vanilla colored wove etching paper. A fine set of the fourth and final lifetime printing. This set is rare in all printings. Portfolio ties on three sides and is 9/16 in. (1.2 cm) deep. Included within are the ten prints, a title page (exactly duplicating text of cover), and a six page trifold essay (closed 5 13/16 x 4 3/16 in./14.7 x 10.6 cm) by Dr. Johannes Jahn entitled "Max Klingers Radierungen." The order of the plates on the cover and title page differs slightly from that given by the numbering of the plates themselves.
