DescriptionThe head and right shoulder of a woman remain, the head in profile to left, the upper torso frontal. The figure wears a decorated garment, possibly a cloak, and a crested Attic helmet. She carries a spear, designating her as a warrior. Above, a frieze of diagonal palmettes is set off by an indented, reserved band, a feature of fifth-century calyx kraters.
