DescriptionIntact, with two cracks in beard; some brownish discoloration. Green and black faience.
Flat-backed amulet in the form of a right eye.
The brow, the outline of the eye, the cosmetic line, the pupil, and the curl are black.
The browline and the cosmetic line behind the eye have chevron decoration.
The feathers below reflect the feather pattern on a hawk’s cheek.
A drop in front and curl in back are thought to reflect the markings of the lanner
falcon.
Within these markings, two rows of monkeys (nine above, four below) are seated with their chins on their paws above a basket.
The eye could be suspended through a tripartite loop on top. All details are finely worked.
